Ready to turn steel into art?

In this hands-on MakerClass, you’ll create your own Plasma Cut Highland Cow from start to finish. We begin in the Design Center using Adobe Illustrator to prepare your cut file and learn how vector artwork translates into plasma-ready paths. Whether you’re brand new to Illustrator or just need a refresher, we’ll walk you through the essentials to get your design production-ready.

Once your file is finalized, we move to the shop where your design is cut on our plasma table out of durable 14-gauge steel. You’ll see the full digital-to-physical process in action as your artwork becomes a bold metal statement piece.

After cutting, you’ll grind, smooth, and prep your cow for finishing. Participants can choose between:

• Flat black finish for a modern, bold look

• Clear coat to preserve the raw steel character

By the end of class, you’ll leave with a finished Highland Cow ready to hang and the skills to confidently approach future plasma projects.

No prior experience required. Just bring closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a readiness to make something awesome.
