Bring together generative AI and laser cutting in this playful Halloween MakerClass at Area 59. In Zombie Yourself, you will create a wobbly wooden zombie magnet with a personalized or generic zombie face.

Participants can use generative AI to transform their own face into a zombie-style caricature, or choose to create a completely fictional zombie instead. From there, you will learn how that digital design is prepared for laser engraving and cutting, then watch it come to life as a layered wooden character with a fun wobbly head.

Along the way, you will explore how AI-generated artwork can move from screen to finished physical project, while learning basic design considerations for laser cutting and engraving.

No previous AI, design, or laser experience is required. All materials are provided.
