Get into the holiday spirit by designing your own glowing Christmas ornament. In this MakerClass, participants will learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator to create a custom vector design that will be laser engraved on clear acrylic. Once engraved, the acrylic piece fits into a battery powered light base that can shine in multiple colors or slowly rotate through a colorful light cycle.

We will guide you step by step through:
• Simple and effective design techniques in Adobe Illustrator
• Preparing artwork for laser engraving
• Safe operation and use of the laser engraver
• Assembling and testing your finished light up ornament

This class is beginner friendly. No previous design or laser experience is needed. Every participant will leave with a personalized ornament that glows beautifully in the dark and makes a unique holiday decoration, night light, or gift.
