This class takes place on Friday, July 17, 9:30 - 11:00 AM.

Get ready for an action-packed robotics showdown at Area 59! In this Fun Friday MakerClass, participants will learn how to control and program Edison robots before entering the Robot Wars arena for exciting robot sumo battles.

Students will explore beginner-friendly coding concepts while learning how robots move, react, and compete. Then, using plastic building bricks, participants will customize and enhance their Edison robots with creative attachments designed to improve pushing power, defense, and battle strategy in the sumo ring.

This class combines robotics, engineering, creativity, and friendly competition in a fun hands-on environment where students can test their designs against other robots in head-to-head matches.

No prior coding or robotics experience is required and all materials are provided.

Ages: Recommended for students entering 5th grade and up independently. Younger makers are welcome with a participating adult.
