This class will meet on Wednesdays for 6 weeks from November 5 - December 17, skipping November 26 due to Thanksgiving, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

You’ll learn how to use Adobe Illustrator—the industry standard for vector design—to create original artwork ready for laser engraving. Each week, we’ll focus on a new project that builds your skills and confidence using both software and hardware.

Projects include:

• A notebook cover featuring custom vector graphics

• Personalized dog tags

• A stainless steel water bottle engraved with your design

• An AI-generated artwork for a mini charcuterie board

• A hand-drawn design created on an iPad and engraved on wood

• A layered piece, such as a Christmas ornament or wall sign

You’ll learn Illustrator’s essential tools for shapes, text, tracing, and layers, along with how to prepare your files for laser cutting and engraving. Whether you’re new to digital design or want to expand your maker skills, this class offers a perfect blend of creativity and technology.

Prerequisites: Basic computer skills recommended.
