Build Your Future: Virtual Futures (Mar. 27)
This experience takes place from 10:00 - noon.
This seminar is the last of our career exploration experiences at Gillette College, designed to give homeschool high school students meaningful exposure to college life, technical education, and real-world career pathways.
This is a drop-off event for your high school student, and parents are not required to stay during the workshop; however part of this session is meeting with Jeff Wasserburger to discuss potential scholarship opportunities for dual enrollment college classes.
To ensure the best experience for all participants, we are not able to accommodate tagalongs.
Stacy Helwig, our CTE Professional Advisor and Retention Specialist, will greet students at the main entrance of the Technical Education Center, located at 3251 W 4-J Rd, Gillette, WY.
In this session students will experience cutting-edge virtual reality technology in Gillette College’s VR Lab and explore how immersive tools are used in education and workforce training. Families will also learn about dual enrollment opportunities and how students can begin earning college credit while still in high school.
