This class will start January 7 @ 5:00 PM at Area 59, and continue to meet Wednesdays and Fridays through January 23 (Jan. 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, and 23).

Level up your photo skills—from smartphone snaps to DSLR magic!

This workshop is perfect for teens who love taking photos and want to learn how to capture stunning images using both phone cameras and professional-grade DSLR equipment. Each week builds on the last, starting with photography basics and moving toward advanced techniques and tools.

What you’ll do:

• Master the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)

• Use your phone camera like a pro—including tips for Android, iPhone, and top apps

• Learn to shoot with a DSLR camera and explore lens effects

• Edit your shots using Lightroom Classic to give your photos a professional polish

• Help shape the experience—you help decide where the curriculum goes next!

Whether you’re creating content for fun or thinking about a future in media, design, or photography, this workshop will help you build skills that matter—and create a photo portfolio you can be proud of.

Bring your own smart phone or borrow one of ours (Android based). You’ll borrow one of our Canon DSLR cameras during class.
