Intro to Photography & Photoshop MakerClass (Beginning Jan. 28)
Adults 18+ can join us on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 PM (Jan. 28 & 30 and Feb. 4 & 6) for a hands-on introduction to the world of digital photography. This beginner-friendly course is perfect for anyone who wants to move beyond phone snapshots and learn how to create intentional, well-composed images using a real camera.
Bring your own digital camera or borrow one of our Canon DSLRs. We’ll walk you through the essential functions and settings so you can finally understand terms like aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and focus modes — and how they work together to shape your shot.
Throughout the course, you will:
• Explore the core features of a digital camera
• Learn how to adjust exposure, lighting, and composition
• Practice your new skills in a classroom setting
• Apply simple editing techniques in Photoshop to enhance your images
By the end of the class, you’ll feel confident handling a digital camera, capturing creative photos, and polishing them with basic post-processing. No experience required — just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
