This class is designed for students, 5th grade and up, who have basic computer skills.

In this hands-on MakerClass, 4-H students will design and create their own custom laser-engraved water bottle while learning the basics of digital design and modern manufacturing. Participants will use beginner-friendly design software to create a name, logo, or graphic, then prepare their artwork for laser engraving.

After learning how a laser engraver works and reviewing important safety guidelines, students will watch as their designs are engraved directly onto a reusable water bottle. Each participant will leave with a personalized bottle they can use every day, along with new skills in creativity, problem-solving, and technology.

This class blends art, engineering, and real-world technology in a way that is approachable and exciting for youth makers.

Students will learn to:
