Get ready to build, battle, and join the brigade! In this beginner-friendly, two-day MakerClass at Area 59, you'll construct your very own fairy weight battle robot—designed for strategic pushing and flipping (not destruction). Whether you're a curious first-timer or a budding engineer, this is your launchpad into the exciting world of robot combat.
Class Schedule:
May 27 | 5:30–8:00 PM – Kick things off with safety training, an introduction to the rules of our brand-new battle ‘bot league and learn basic soldering skills to prepare for assembly. Then begin building your robot using your kit and our shop tools.
May 29 | 5:30–8:00 PM – Finish your build, test your bot, and get it scrimmage-ready!
What’s Included:
A complete robot kit (chassis, motors, battery, remote, and more)
Access to shop tools and supplies
A 1-month pass to Area 59 to keep upgrading your bot (*materials fees incurred are your responsibility)
Entry to two scrimmage matches (May 31 + TBD)
